Centric Software scoops FoodTech Innovation Award for PLM platform
Centric Software has been awarded the Food 4 Future Food Tech Innovation Tastech Award by Sigma for its Centric Food & Beverage PLM platform, a win that recognizes the company’s role in digitizing and streamlining operations across the food and beverage value chain.
The award was presented last month at the Food 4 Future Expo in Bilbao, Spain, a major annual event attended by over 8,000 industry professionals. Centric was recognized for delivering what the judging panel described as the most innovative digital solution for the food and beverage industry. Attendees at the ceremony included representatives from Spain’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, as well as the Ministry for Industry, Ecological Transition, and Business Digitalization.
“We are deeply honored to receive this award from Food 4 Future,” commented Chris Groves, CEO of Centric Software. “Centric PLM is designed to equip our customers with the tools they need to navigate the challenges of the food and beverage industry, from changing consumer preferences to compliance and sustainability pressures. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to helping brands stay competitive while safeguarding margins.”
Centric’s PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solution is specifically built for the complex regulatory and operational needs of food and beverage companies. It centralizes all aspects of product development – including formulation, raw ingredient management, packaging, labeling, and compliance documentation – into a single, configurable platform. The system is designed to accelerate time-to-market, enhance traceability, and reduce the risk of non-compliance while helping brands manage costs more effectively.
The platform also integrates seamlessly with enterprise systems such as ERP, and is connected to key food databases like Ciqual, GSDN, and USDA FoodData Central, ensuring that users stay aligned with evolving global standards. According to Centric, customers have reported productivity gains of up to 50% and a 60% reduction in time-to-market since adopting the software.
To further enhance product experience and responsiveness to consumer behavior, Centric has developed Centric PXM (Product Experience Management) and Centric Visual Boards. PXM incorporates AI-driven modules such as Product Information Management, Digital Asset Management, and Digital Shelf Analytics, helping brands quickly adapt product offerings, pricing, and inventory based on real-time demand signals from e-commerce platforms and digital channels.
Centric Visual Boards, meanwhile, offer a visual-first approach to managing assortments. The system pulls together live data and imagery from across a business’s tools to provide an intuitive, unified view of product lines. This allows cross-functional teams to collaborate more effectively, align product strategies with current market trends, and make faster, more informed decisions.
A key differentiator for Centric in the eyes of the Food 4 Future jury was its strategic partnership with FoodChain ID, a specialist in food safety and regulatory compliance. Through this collaboration, users can assess ingredients and formulations against more than 220 country-specific regulations directly within the PLM environment. This embedded compliance function allows food and beverage companies to bring safer, more globally compliant products to market with greater speed and confidence.
Headquartered in Silicon Valley, Centric Software serves a broad base of consumer goods companies worldwide, including brands operating across multiple categories within food and beverage. Its technology is used to manage the entire lifecycle of a product – from ideation and sourcing through to sales and post-launch performance – all within a unified digital ecosystem.
The company’s strong focus on rapid deployment, user engagement, and measurable outcomes has helped it build a global reputation. Centric regularly ranks highly in industry benchmarks for innovation, customer satisfaction, and return on investment. With this latest award win, it further cements its position as a key player in the digital transformation of the food and beverage sector.
