GNT opens Dubai Application Lab to support EXBERRY color customers in Middle East

December 29, 2025

GNT has opened a new application laboratory in Dubai to provide hands-on technical support for food and beverage manufacturers using its plant-based EXBERRY colors across the Middle East, North Africa, and the Indian subcontinent. The company said the facility was designed to deliver faster, more localized assistance to customers in the region.

The laboratory is located alongside GNT’s commercial and marketing teams in the United Arab Emirates and forms part of the company’s broader global network of application centers. GNT said the Dubai site would support customers with formulation development and troubleshooting while reducing turnaround times for technical collaboration.

According to the company, the laboratory is equipped with formulation and testing capabilities including color matching and stability analysis. GNT said the site would also function as a hub for product demonstrations, customer training programs, and technical consultations tailored to regional market needs.

Santhosh Thankappan, Sales Director at GNT Middle East, said the facility was intended to bring technical expertise closer to customers. “Our goal is to empower food and drink manufacturers with local access to global expertise, giving them a space for innovation where ideas, technology, and people come together,” Thankappan said. “Our new Dubai laboratory was created to help our customers perfect their processes and ensure exceptional results with plant-based EXBERRY colors.”

GNT operates multiple application centers in Europe, Asia, and North America, supporting manufacturers across a range of food and beverage categories. The company produces EXBERRY colors from non-GMO fruits, vegetables, and plants, offering a full spectrum of shades designed to replace synthetic dyes in a wide variety of applications.

Thankappan said demand for plant-based coloring solutions continued to rise globally, including in the Middle East region. “The demand for natural, plant-based colors is increasing all over the world, and this region is no exception,” he said. “This expansion reinforces our dedication to helping manufacturers achieve vibrant, stable shades while maintaining completely natural ingredient lists.”

GNT said the Dubai laboratory would play a role in supporting regional product innovation as manufacturers respond to evolving consumer preferences and regulatory expectations around clean-label and naturally derived ingredients.
