Huel has expanded its Hot Instant Meals range with the launch of Lite Noodles, a single-serving instant ramen-style product that delivers 25g of protein per pot, 26 added vitamins and minerals, and 230 calories.
• Huel introduced Protein Ramen in three flavors: Classic Chicken, Spicy Thai, and Sweet Chilli.
• Each pot contained 25g of protein, 26 added vitamins and minerals, and 230 calories.
• The product launched first in the UK at £18.30 (US$24.58) for a pack of six.
The product, also referred to by Huel as Protein Ramen, has been designed to combine noodles, broth, and protein in a quick, convenient format. It marks the latest addition to the brand’s Hot Instant Meals portfolio, which sits alongside the ready-to-drink products and balanced meal replacement powders that helped build Huel’s reputation.
The new ramen-style pots launched first in the UK in three varieties: Classic Chicken, Spicy Thai, and Sweet Chilli. A fourth flavor, Katsu Curry Noodles, is planned for release at a later date.
Huel has pitched the product around a high-protein, lower-calorie profile, with each pot containing 25g of protein and 230 calories. The company also added 26 vitamins and minerals, following the brand’s broader focus on nutritionally balanced, convenient meal formats.
The launch comes as high-protein foods continue to move beyond traditional sports nutrition into more everyday categories, including snacks, drinks, ready meals, and convenience products. Instant noodles have typically been associated with speed and affordability rather than nutritional density, giving Huel a familiar format through which to extend its functional nutrition positioning.
Huel Protein Ramen is available in the UK at £18.30 (US$24.58) for a pack of six. A wider European launch is planned between late June and early July.
The launch comes just months after Danone agreed to acquire Huel in a deal that expanded the French food giant's presence in the growing complete nutrition category. Announced in March, the acquisition brought together Huel's direct-to-consumer business, international footprint, and portfolio of nutritionally complete products with Danone's global manufacturing, distribution, and R&D capabilities. The move reflected increasing interest from major food companies in convenient, health-focused food formats.
