RELSUS opens manufacturing facility in India and partners with Aminola to accelerate plant protein commercialization in Europe
Singapore-based food technology company RELSUS has inaugurated a commercial-scale manufacturing facility in Ujjain, India, marking a significant step in its mission to accelerate the global transition to clean, functional plant-based proteins. The company also announced a strategic partnership with Netherlands-based Aminola, which includes a growth investment and exclusive distribution agreement for the European and UK markets.
The new facility will use RELSUS’s proprietary Ultra-Precise Filtration platform, which processes plant-based ingredients without solvents or harsh chemicals. The technology is designed to produce proteins with high purity, improved functionality, and a clean sensory profile, positioning RELSUS to meet demand from food and beverage manufacturers seeking allergen-free, sustainable protein solutions.
“This is a major milestone in our journey,” said Vineet Singhal, Founder & CEO of RELSUS. “Our platform sets a new benchmark in plant protein quality. With Aminola’s support, we can bring our innovations to key European markets more quickly, helping manufacturers meet both consumer expectations and climate goals.”

As part of the deal, Aminola has invested in RELSUS to fast-track production capacity and will serve as the exclusive European distributor of its chickpea, mung bean, pea, and rapeseed-derived proteins and starches. These ingredients are targeted at companies formulating clean-label and high-performance products in response to evolving consumer preferences.
“Our investment reflects a shared commitment to sustainable nutrition,” said Dick van Beek, CEO of Aminola. “India, with its strong agricultural base and logistics infrastructure, is the ideal location for sourcing and processing pulses. RELSUS’s technology and experienced team allow us to offer ingredients that address the sector’s biggest challenges – functionality and sensory quality – while building value throughout the supply chain.”
The companies said the partnership will also promote regenerative farming practices, with a view toward improving farmer livelihoods and creating a more resilient supply chain from farm to consumer.
RELSUS’s European expansion comes at a time when interest in clean-label and high-performance plant-based ingredients continues to rise. The collaboration is expected to boost availability of next-generation proteins to customers in food manufacturing, functional nutrition, and beyond.
