Veganz Group launches Mililk FoodTech, eyes strategic investors for Q3 2025

June 30, 2025

Veganz Group AG, a leading innovator in plant-based food technology, has established Mililk FoodTech to unlock hidden value within its operations, with advanced talks already underway for strategic investments expected in the third quarter of 2025. These discussions are based on a pre-money valuation of €80 million (approximately US$87 million).

Anja Brachmüller, Chief Operating Officer of Veganz Group, has been appointed as Managing Director of the newly founded Mililk FoodTech. The new entity's core activities include research, development, patenting, production, distribution, and licensing of technologies aimed primarily at plant-based milk alternatives. Additionally, the company is conducting research and development for juices, smoothies, and functional "better-for-you" beverages.

Following an anticipated strategic investment of between €10 million to €20 million (approximately US$11 million to US$22 million), Veganz Group will retain majority ownership of Mililk FoodTech.

Central to Mililk’s strategy is its patented 2D food and beverage printing technology. This innovative process significantly streamlines traditional manufacturing, promising substantial cost, energy, and environmental savings. Benefits include enhanced shelf life, an 85% reduction in product weight and volume, up to 94% less packaging, and up to 90% lower carbon emissions.

This cutting-edge method notably reduces logistics and transportation costs while dramatically lowering waste production. Moreover, Mililk's products do not require refrigeration and offer flexibility in terms of shape and strength.

"Considering the enormous market potential for our Mililk technology platform, we are currently only scratching the surface," said Brachmüller. "Initial demand forecasts from North America underscore the urgency for strategic, long-term investors to rapidly build up our production capacities to meet significant market interest."

Brachmüller further highlighted plans for a substantial expansion in manufacturing capacity, stating, "In the USA, we've already identified a production site equipped with all necessary permits, capable of manufacturing over 60 million liters of our plant-based milk alternatives annually. Additionally, we plan to establish six new production sites across Europe."

The venture is backed by strategic partnerships with industry players Develey, Jindilli Beverages, and Lassonde Industries, positioning Mililk FoodTech prominently in the sustainable food technology market.
