Planted and Fleury Michon collaborate on new plant-based gourmet products designed for flexitarians

June 14, 2023

Swiss food-tech startup, Planted, known for its plant-based meat, based on a short, additive-free ingredient list, has teamed up with Fleury Michon, the second-most purchased brand in France. The aim aim is to offer healthy, gourmet products to consumers in search of plant-based options, without sacrificing taste or usage habits.

The result of the collaboration is a line of three meaty, clean and reportedly delicious plant-based products that promise to delight flexitarians and all those who want to eat healthy and tasty without sacrificing traditional taste and the application versatility of meat. The collaboration between Planted and Fleury Michon is a perfect example of how two companies can come together with their expertise to create innovative and delicious products that meet the needs of today's consumers - Planted, as leading producer of high-quality clean label plant-based meat, and Fleury Michon as a trusted French brand and culinary as well as seasoning expert.

"We are thrilled to collaborate with industry expert Fleury Michon on this exciting launch," commented Pascal Bieri, Co-founder & Member of the Executive Board at Planted. "Even though Fleury Michon exists over 100 years longer than Planted, they still operate independently and family-owned, thriving to offer the best tasting products at an affordable price. As a result, Fleury Michon is the second best-selling brand in France, consumed by eight out of 10 French households – we therefore couldn’t be happier to have gained a new and trustworthy partner to bring a new range of plant-based goodness to their meat loving fanbase. We are sure that their crafted marinades in combination with our planted.chicken is a match made in heaven.”

The three products, Emincés végétaux, are available in three delicious recipes: Rôtis, aux Herbes, Epices douces, and can be used in a variety of dishes, from salads and hot dishes to quiches and pizzas. They are versatile, easy to use, and perfect for anyone who wants to add more plant-based options to their diet. Additionally, all three products have a Nutriscore A, which is the highest-possible rating for nutritional quality in France.

"We are thrilled to partner with Planted to enter this exciting category and bring these new plant-based products to our consumers at the same high standard and quality as we do with our core charcuterie range," added Jean-François Fournier’s, General Manager France of Fleury Michon. "At Fleury Michon, we believe in offering high-quality, delicious food that meets the needs of today's consumers. With Planted's expertise in plant-based foods, we can offer our consumers new options that are both healthy, sustainable and tasty. We are convinced that this is only the start to a great relationship and that the products will quickly find its public."
